Welcome to Greenfield Pre-School

We are delighted to share with you a video of our pre-school and we hope you can see what an inspirational and wonderful learning environment it is for your child.

We have a fabulous new building, constructed in 2017 and purpose built. We have three large rooms, one for our nursery children (two years old), one for our pre-schoolers (three to four year olds) and a further shared story and play space. With a choice of three garden areas and play spaces, our children have great opportunities for both indoor and outdoor play and learning. Based on the Greenfield Primary school site, our children also have access to additional resources, creative and physical activities, Forest School, and all the benefits being part of the wider school brings. The transition for children starting school at Greenfield is excellent as as we have close links with the Reception team in school and share many of the school facilities. 

When your child joins pre-school they will be allocated a key worker who will build a relationship with you and your child. These key workers are highly skilled qualified early years practitioners who come from a variety of backgrounds, including pre-schools, day nurseries, children's centres and schools. In addition to regular face to face communication parents can also access EYLog which is an integrated web and tablet-based nursery and pre-school application and allows a keyworker to easily record, monitor and plan your child’s development, through capturing observations and updating your child’s progress against the early learning goals.

The most recent Ofsted inspection in July 2018 rated the pre-school Good. We have worked hard to develop our pre-school to provide our children with the best possible start to school life.
