Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Greenfield we are proud of the excellent reputation we have for supporting and developing children with special educational needs and disabilities. 

All children receive high quality teaching which is then differentiated for individual pupils. Support is led by Mrs Watkins, our SENCO and Assistant Head teacher and Mrs Hart and Miss Herriot, pastoral care specialists, in addition to the class teachers and their learning support assistants.

We work closely with parents and health professionals to ensure interventions for learning and practical support meet the child's individual needs.

Pastoral Care

Some children exerience anxiety coming to school, more than the usual 'I don't want to go to school today' and others struggle with feelings of anger. We have produced some simple leaflets to help parents with these issues:
